Today, following the practice of SOAP, I read through 1 Corinthians 1-3. SOAP stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer. As I go through the readings I look for 1-2 verses per chapter that stand out to me. From there I observe why they spoke to me and pick out a way to apply the lesson/verse to my life. Finally, I create a prayer surrounding the lessons I have learned and the things I wish to apply to my life. This is SOAP.
Below are the verses I picked and the things I will do to apply them to my life.
Today my verses were:
1) 1 Cor. 1:30-31
2) 1 Cor. 2:9-10
3) 1 Cor. 3:7
How Will I Apply These Verses To My Life?
1) I will give all praise and boasting to God.
2) I will work to express my love and gratitude towards God daily.
3) I will recognize that growth is run on God's time and I will give thanks to God for the growth that is in my life.
